The Hotel Villa Honegg is a unique 5-star superior establishment in the heart of Switzerland on mount Bürgenstock. This long-established hotel was built in 1905 and reopened for business in May 2011 following a major refit. For its size, it is unique in Switzerland in terms of what it offers. As a heaven of peace and privacy, it enjoys an incomparable setting.
ROOMS: Alongside the 23 guest rooms and suites, the Hotel is offering a conference room seating 24 with the latest technical facilities as well as a meeting room seating 10 with lounge and kitchen. Restaurant, lounge, cinema, room with fireplace, game room, spa, indoor and outdoor pool as well as the fitness room. The hotel can also be booked en bloc for exclusive use by a single group of guest.
FOOD & DRINK: GaultMillau awards the kitchen with 14 points. In the restaurant along with on the terrace regional dishes, international classics and Lebanese specialties are offered on the menu. The beef tartar, the meatloaf and the “älpler” macaroni-ravioli belong to some of the most popular dishes. Other delicacies get acclimatized to the season. Its first-class pork free cuisine can cater for a wide range of tastes. The products are being bought from local suppliers as well as suppliers from central Switzerland. Even more popular amongst the hotel’s cooks is using ingredients from the hotel’s own salad and spice garden which can be found next to the annexed building.
SPA & WELLNESS: The modern spa facilities are a haven of peace and tranquillity – a balm for spirit and body. Treat yourself to a relaxing Finnish sauna heated to 90ºC, or a steam bath at 45ºC. These are complemented by a crushed-ice fountain providing continuous and welcome cooling and revitalisation. The hotel's outdoor pool is heated to 34ºC and offers incredible panoramic views as well as a whirlpool area. The indoor pool is heated to 26ºC and features a counter-current system and underwater music. The spa also offers a range of massages and cosmetic treatments.
LOCATION: The Hotel Villa Honegg is one hour’s drive from Zurich International Airport and EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, while Buochs private Airport is just five minutes away. The city of Lucerne can be reached in 20 minutes.
