JUNGFRAU MTB ADVENTURE

Guided Mountain Biking in the Shadow of the Mighty Eiger

Switzerland's famous Interlaken holiday region is home to undiscovered mountain bike opportunities in addition to world-class scenery and hiking.

By the beginning of the 19th century, Jungfrau region, in the Bernese Oberland had already become renowned for its impressive mountain scenery. Possibility to combine mountain bike rides with Jungfraujoch and Schilthorn – cog-railway to the highest railway station in Europe, and the cableway to the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant: two of Switzerland's top mountain experiences.

The 160 km of mountain bike trails in the Jungfrau Region do require a certain level of fitness - but thankfully, there are always trains and cable cars which can take the strain out of many a climb, and the views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau is spectacular. While this region is not a developed MTB region per se, there are enough options to keep riders busy for 3-4 days. Ascend by train to Kleine Scheidegg where the notorious Eiger North Wall is in full view, and descend the legendary Lauberhorn World Cup Ski course, but on singletrack. Or the trails down to Grindelwald from First with full views of the Nordwand, starting in the high alpine, and finishing on lush loamy forest singletrack.

A guided MTB trip in the Jungfrau region will give you a taste of the Bernese Oberland's finest riding, in a historic Alpine environment. where the riding improves every season.
