The Monte Rosa Region is a powder skiers' paradise.
At the foot of 4600m Monte Rosa, Italy and Switzerland’s highest peak, the resorts of Champoluc, Gressoney, and Alagna comprise the Monterosa ski area, one of the Alps’ finest off-piste zones. Exploring remote villages, dining in “Slow Food” restaurants and skiing with a third generation Italian mountain guide, are all part of what makes this the ultimate Italian backcountry ski experience.
Spend a night at 10,000’ at the Refugio Vigevano, where the heli will pick us up outside the front door. From here begins an unforgettable day tour of the exquisite Monte Rosa, skiing into Zermatt, and a long glacier run back to Champoluc. You can also choose to round off this trip with an additional night in Piedmont for a private wine tasting and dinner that will give you a true taste of the Italian “dolce vita.”
