Alright, the price is ridiculous, but not much compares to this unique experience: traveling from Andermatt to Airolo via the Gotthard pass on the legendary horse-drawn mail coach just as they did 170 years ago. The reproduction carriage holds 8 people and costs CHF 680/pp for a full day ride over the pass, with stops at historic inns & restaurants for an aperitif, and lunch at the Gotthard Hospiz.
