This weekend, we headed over to the Portes du Soleil region, in the Chablais Alps, for some of Europe’s best lift-served mountain biking. An added bonus, the Châtel Mountain Style, the premiere Freeride Event in the Alps was going on - and it didn’t disappoint, as the best riders in the world put on a show that we’ve never witnessed the likes of - check out the video to the right to see what I mean!
Only the Red Bull Rampage can compare to this contest - and the Rampage takes place in the middle of the Utah desert. The Mountain Style goes down just under the lifts, and stays open to the public all season long afterwards. Incredible.
The PDS is the home to the Alps’ most diverse riding, with everything from crazy North-Shore stunts and jumps to perfectly manicured, flowy intermediate runs, and cross-country for miles. 25 lifts, open all summer and into the fall, connect 10 resorts in France and Switzerland, and you can ride from resort to resort, every day a true MTB Safari. Join us this summer to discover the Portes du Soleil’s amazing trail system yourself.
