Considered to be one of Europe's finest hotels, the Beau-Rivage Palace remains true to its traditional values, while at the same time constantly breathing new life into the hotel, the result of an ongoing restoration program. The Beau-Rivage Palace opened in 1861, and the grand salons were home to lavish balls and galas from the start. Over the years, the BRP has played host to many illustrious guests - Victor Hugo, Charlie Chaplin, Coco Chanel, Nelson Mandela and Tina Turner are just a few of the many famous names. Murals, frescoes, and stained-glass windows are hallmarks of the interior. Art Nouveau rooms have Oriental carpets and cathedral ceilings, and some offer views of the Alps. 168 rooms, 34 of which are suites.
SPA & WELLNESS: The "Cinq Mondes" Spa awakens the five senses in its zen atmosphere. The sense of design behind the spa is unparalleled: vast rooms, simple, functional, pure in line and space, the use of natural materials. Facilities include eight treatment rooms, a VIP suite, two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and a new fitness room.
FOOD & DRINK: "Anne-Sophie Pic", from the only female French chef to gain three Michelin stars, and Pic family fame. Her joining the Beau-Rivage Palace is the first time that this third generation of celebrated chefs has left her niche at the Drôme in Valence. In "Miyako" guests can savour the finest sushi and sashimi freshly prepared by the Japanese chefs. For a more informal atmosphere, guests may enjoy the elegant brasserie "Café Beau-Rivage".
The Bar, with its retro-chic atmosphere serves creative cocktails overlooking the lake. During the summer months, guests can enjoy meals aboard “Le Montreux”, the steamboat catered by the Beau-Rivage Palace.
LOCATION: Nestled in 4 hectares of gardens on the shores of Lake Geneva and with a view of the Alps, the Beau-Rivage Palace enjoys an exceptional location, but is nevertheless just 10 minutes from the city centre, in the Ouchy harbor district.
