Set in a private hilltop location (accessed via a lift blasted through the stone), the Haus Gemini is a unique retreat far from the crowds, yet close to everything. A rare gem, this large freestanding property in Zermatt is tastefully decorated, combining cozy alpine and contemporary finishes with liberal use of wood and stone. Tucked against a beautiful hillside, the numerous balconies and large terraces give you a bird's eye view of the village and the surrounding mountains, encompassing all three of Zermatt's ski areas.
This spacious chalet can accommodate large families or groups with its open plan living-dining area and 5 double bedrooms, sleeping a total of 10 guests. Additional amenities include Swedish Sauna and an outdoor hot-tub, as well as a relaxation area where massage can be arranged on request.
Chalet Gemini can be combined with the 2 adjacent chalets for ultimate flexibility, sleeping up to 34 guests.
WELLNESS: The chalet has its own sauna and outdoor hot-tub - perfect to relax and enjoy the view (or the stars...) after a long day in the mountains. The wellness area also includes a large massage room (massages on request) and rainfall shower.
FOOD & DRINK: Chalet Gemini is part of a special collaboration with two Michelin star chef Michael Caines, head chef at Gidleigh Park, UK. Michael has designed the menus (which can be customized as per your likes/dislikes) and trained the local Zermatt executive chef in resort.
LOCATION: 200m from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise base lift station and resort run there is a street level tunnel which leads you to an elevator built inside the mountain, from the top of which there is a gentle 2 minute walk to the property. Skis and boots can be left in the tunnel's ski-room. The chalet comes with an electro-transporter, to move your luggage and shopping as required. Although it does not have a Matterhorn view, the chalet is bathed in sun as soon as it emerges.
