Completed in 2013, the Chalet Sunnabiela is located in an elevated position with unsurpassed views of the Matterhorn, access is via gondolabahn: a 4-person gondola that rides on a tracks, shared with the neighboring chalet. The chalet is offered self-catered, but all services can be offered on an à la carte basis (daily housekeeping, breakfast delivery, catered dinners, in-house massage, etc).
The luxury 4-floor chalet comprises 6 bedrooms (3 doubles with wash basin, and 3 singles) and an open-plan living area. The expansive lounge has an enclosed wood burning fireplace and a large leather sectional, perfect for enjoying the stunning views of the majestic Matterhorn.
*There are 6 bedrooms, but it is better for smaller groups/families as the layout is as follows: 3 doubles with sink / 3 singles, 2 shared baths with shower + wellness area w/sauna jacuzzi tub and shower facilities.
WELLNESS: Separate area with infrared sauna, double Jacuzzi-bath, and shower. Massage and reflexology can be arranged on request.
LOCATION: Conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gondola station, but away from it all atop a rock outcropping accessed via private funicular (inclined elevator). At the bottom of the funicular you have access to a garage where you can store prams, sleds, skis, etc.
