At the foot of Mont Blanc, in a quiet haven in the center of Chamonix, lies the Hameau Albert 1er. Charm, prestige, warm welcome, and gastronomy are the key principles of this 5-star hotel founded in 1903 by “great grandfather Carrier”. A far cry from the original Carrier guest house, today’s Hameau Albert celebrates tradition while embracing the 21st century luxuries. The modern Bachal Spa (Savoyard patois for basin) blends seamlessly with its surroundings of old wood, snow-capped peaks and glaciers. All of this, just steps from the center of the village of Chamonix.
The rooms in the main hotel have a luxurious and contemporary décor, while retaining a sense of local mountain heritage, expressed through antique furniture and carefully chosen artwork. In “La Ferme”, the rooms and chalets in the garden are a combination of architectural alpine tradition, modernity and design, pieced together from historic alpine barns, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere. The rooms are decorated with a mix of modern design and local antiques and most have private fireplace.
SPA WELLNESS: “Le Bachal” Spa with beautiful views of the Massif du Mont Blanc, full range of beauty and massage treatments. Choose from a massage, body scrub, manicure, pedicure, a shea or green-tea body wrap, an Indian head massage or foot reflexology, as well as specific treatments for men.
FOOD & DRINK: "Restaurant Albert 1er", 2-stars Michelin, is devoted to exceptional cuisine and local delicacies; the modern French cuisine with Northern Italian influences is “the” table in Chamonix.
"La Maison Carrier", serves “montagnarde cuisine” enjoyed in the atmosphere of an old farmhouse, and the “Quartz bar” a chic lounge offering wine, cocktails and small plates.
