The sense of space, light and being one with nature that the Loft provides is totally unique; there are no barriers between the nature outside and the home space inside. On the two sides overlooking the village, the walls consist of floor to ceiling glass with 6m windows leading to a large terrace. An exterior curtain can wrap itself around all windows, if need be. The main loft living area has a suspended and illuminated table, which can be raised and lowered from coffee table, to dining table, to ceiling height; the latter creating a large party space. In one corner you can play on a baby grand Steinway piano, while in another you can sink into a large sofa and gaze simultaneously at the stunning view over the village and at the crackling fireplace set into the glass wall. All the exquisite furniture in the Loft is designed by Heinz Julen, including two desks, reclining armchairs, a wall of art, and a signature chandelier.
On the mezzanine level, there is another sofa chill-out area with TV, a Jacuzzi bath, dining alcove and a bar area, all bathed in subtle inset lighting. The 3 double bedrooms are situated on the mezzanine floor, overlooking the main loft area. The 2 side bedrooms, one located above the other, have magnificent village views; the private master bedroom has a restricted view but more space, providing ample room for a sofa, a walk-in wardrobe and a TV set into a glass window.
The Loft was selected by the London Times as one of the 20 coolest chalets in the Alps for a second year in a row this year.
SPA & WELLNESS: All guests of the Heinz Julen Loft have half-price access to the Backstage Hotel Genesis Spa between 1 pm and 5 pm.
