HOTEL BELLA TOLA 4*

Perched on the side of the mountain in the secret Swiss Val d’Anniviers, the beautifully restored Belle Époque Hotel Bella Tola welcomes guests to take a step back in time, while enjoying 21st century comforts. The hotel dates from 1883; and the original decoration has been preserved, reflecting elegant, late 19th century "art de vivre".

 

Here in St-Luc, in the centre of the Valais region, hoteliers Anne-Françoise and Claude Fuchs have created a unique mountain hideaway, filled with the romance of the pioneering years of alpine tourism, gourmet restaurant and unique spa. The hotel is like a living museum; instead of a lobby you find a large living room with fireplace and walls covered in pictures and paintings. Step-by-step, the couple have renovated the entire property, staying as faithful as possible to the original décor and was awarded "historic hotel of the year 2001".

 

The hotel has 30 rooms + 2 apartments; each room is wonderfully different, and have either wood paneling or hand-painted wallpaper, and antique furniture and period touches in the bathrooms create a perfect nostalgic atmosphere.

 

SPA & WELLNESS: Spa “l’Eau des Cimes”, as the natural elements water, fire, ice and stone come together, stress evaporates in the peaceful atmosphere of the spa. Wellness area including indoor pool, sauna, hammam, massage & beauty treatments.

 

FOOD & DRINK: “Chez Ida” Local ingredients prepared in a refined French style, special wild game menus during the hunting and harvest season. Restaurant Le Tzambron, serves local Valais specialties; raclette, fondue, rösti, with an extensive list of wine from the Swiss Rhone Valley.
