With imposing views of the Matterhorn, the Cervo embraces its mountainous surroundings. Bright and welcoming, with a distinctly modern twist, it gives a fresh perspective on the Zermatt mountain holiday.
The Cervo is a timber-framed lodge nestled on the edge of the forest above Zermatt. 6 chalets pieced together and finished with local materials such as felt, pine and stone, create an ambiance of contemporary alpine elegance. Each chalet consists of several categories of rooms, suites and a private wellness area, or can be rented for exclusive use for private groups. Signature “Spa Suites” include steam bath with rain shower, outdoor whirlpool on the private terrace, with view of the Matterhorn.
The setting is quiet but not isolated (you can take the hidden Sunnegga elevator, from town directly to the entrance), and provides opportunities for skiing and hiking directly from the door.
FOOD & DRINK: The Stuba with its 14 Gault Millau points and authentic mountain cuisine is one of the local Zermatters’ favorites. In winter ski-in to the après bar on the terrace for live music and Swiss beer & wine.
SPA & WELLNESS: Each chalet features its own “mini-spa” complete with sauna, steam room, outdoor whirlpool, massage showers, kneipp basin, relaxation area and treatment room.
LOCATION: Overlooking Zermatt on the Riedweg, directly at the end of the slopes. From Zermatt station, it takes less than 10 minutes on foot to the Cervo. From the valley station of the Sunnegga funicular, the lift takes you directly to reception.
