Hotel La Vallée, family-run for 3 generations, is one of the oldest establishments in the Val de Bagnes and Verbier region. The first mention of the building as a pension-restaurant date back to 1893. In 1901, after a fire, it was transformed into apartments. In 1954, the family Michellod took over the café-restaurant and became the owners of the entire building in 1961, then renovated and restored it to its former hotel & café-restaurant. Since 1994, the hotel was taken over by the Pellissier family, daughter and son-in-law to the former owners. The hotel is renovated and adapted to current needs: every room is different and equipped with private bathroom, TV / radio and wifi.
A lounge area is available for guests to relax, and can be arranged for small meetings (10 people). Another seminar room with screen and projector is also available for up to 30 people. A garage is available on request, and offers repair and cleaning workshops for mountain bikes. And a 12m climbing wall on the facade of the hotel and a large children's playground are fantastic for families.
HELIPAD: La Vallée is the only hotel in the whole Swiss canton of Valais to have its own landing pad for helicopters, offering heli-skiing as well as scenic flights for their guests.
ROOMS: The charm of wood and warm colors will remind you that you are staying in the mountains. The hotel has currently 16 rooms (12 doubles, 1 triple, 1 junior suite with 4 beds, 2 single), 2 apartments and one 8-bed dormitory. Total hotel capacity: 33 persons.
SPA & WELLNESS: In order to satisfy its customers, a brand new spa with hammam, sauna, relaxation room and massage room has been built in 2012. In addition, a Bio jacuzzi has been installed outside. The latter has the distinction of receiving an untreated natural water where no chemicals are added, and works by constant flow of fresh water.
FOOD & DRINK: The restaurant can accommodate up to 130 people, where you can taste local specialties such as fondue or Raclette, but also the specialty of the house: the "Potence" (gallows' pole), with its beef or deer filet flamed with brandy. All these fine dishes are accompanied by excellent wines from the best local producers.
LOCATION: The hotel is located in Lourtier, a small village of 400 inhabitants in the heart of the Val de Bagnes, and offers a contrasting comfort and tranquility from the main resort; 20 minutes' drive from the resort of Verbier and 10 minutes drive from the departure of the lifts in Le Chable, linking the ski area of 4 Vallées (Verbier and Bruson sectors accessible from Le Chable in less than 8 min).
