Dating back to 1887, this boutique property facing Lake Lugano within walking distance from the town center, was originally known as the Hotel Splendide; the ‘Royal’ was only added in 1924 as a nod to the many royal guests, including Vittorio Emanuele di Savoia, and Maria Queen of Romania. Today, the hotel retains a regal air in the marble lobby and the Presidential suite, complete with stunning frescoes, a Murano chandelier, and views to the Alps, and yet offers all the contemporary amenities one expects from a luxury hotel.
A state-of-the-art personalized service is provided by the well-trained, skilled staff who quietly ensure the guests experience through courtesy, dedication, and attention to detail.

La Veranda Restaurant: The Restaurant La Veranda with its spectacular view over Lake Ceresio, serves light Italian cuisine where nature and the lake are a constant and inspiring presence. During the summer months, guests can enjoy outside dining on the terrace overlooking the lake.
The Emerald Bar breathes the cozy ambiance, perfect for a drink with live music.
