The Alpina Gstaad, the first new 5* hotel in Gstaad in over a century, is a fresh interpretation of alpine chic. Luxury suites, award-winning restaurants, and the Six Senses Spa combine together to create one of the best luxury hotels in the Alps. The expertise of artisans from the region has created inspiring spaces, where original and contemporary local materials are subtly united with genuine period woodwork.
The 56 rooms and suites all reflect how authenticity meets Swiss luxury. Throughout, the region’s heritage inspires the detail and careful craftsmanship. Classically carved ceilings and timber-clad walls create a cozy feel, along with leather headboards and Swiss farmhouse cupboards and chests. Decorative accessories recall the traditional leather cowbell collars, an iconic image for the Saanenland. The result is fresh and modern, delivering an Alpine chic aesthetic.
SPA & WELLNESS: The exclusive Six Senses Spa is a holistic destination spa inspired by Asian wellness traditions, which are offered alongside Swiss Alpine treatments. The spa’s 12 treatment rooms include a Floatation Room, a Hammam, a Colonic Room, a Colour Therapy Room, an Ayurvedic Room, an Oriental Room, a Salt Room, a Cave Room for couples treatments and five multifunctional single treatment rooms.
Other facilities include an organically shaped indoor pool, an outdoor garden pool, two Jacuzzis, a yoga studio, gym and juice bar. For children, there is a separate pool with a mini slide.
FOOD & DRINK: Awarded the prestigious award of “Gault Millau Hotel of the Year” 2013 & 2014. The Alpina Gstaad’s Executive Chef, Marcus G. Lindner, supervises each of the establishment’s three exceptional restaurants, ensuring excellence across the board.
The Sommet Restaurant is the jewel in The Alpina Gstaad’s crown, with one Michelin star and 18/20 Gault Millau points, paying testament to the restaurant’s exceptional gourmet cuisine. Inspired, precise and creative, the chef’s dishes are an ode to authentic food and the finest produce.
“Megu” the Swiss outpost of the renowned NYC restaurant. A seamless interplay of traditional and modern Japan is evoked in both Megu's cuisine and its design concept. Bringing together the finest and rarest ingredients, Megu's menu combines authentic and avant-garde influences from both Japan and Switzerland.
The Stübli serves classic Swiss dishes from all four corners of the country, reinterpreted and presented with a touch of modernity.
