Gstaad's famously grand – and best-positioned hotel – in its own park in the centre of town. New owners Daniel Koetser and his interior-designer wife Davia bought and transformed the historic landmark, reopening in December 2013 with a unique style that feels like a luxury country-house, filled with bespoke furniture from Scandinavia, London, Antwerp and beyond. Original features such as parquet floors and vaulted ceilings have been retained, while adding a fresh and modern edge. A 2500m2 spa, and Michelin-starred dining round out this unique and refined property.
The 57 elegant rooms and suites, with panoramic views across the mountains or private parklands, are decorated in a fresh interpretation of alpine style. Neutral tones are accented with an occasional contrast of Hermés orange or hot pink. The light-flooded suites are spacious, and include balconies and palatial bathrooms stocked with Bamford bath products.
SPA & WELLNESS: “Le Grand Spa” Measuring 2,500m2, Le Grand SPA provides the ultimate sanctuary. Its facilities include an indoor swimming pool, aromatic sauna, Himalayan salt room, ice grotto and Turkish bath, among others. Personalized spa and fitness programs can be tailored to your individual needs.
FOOD & DRINK: Le Grand Bellevue’s flagship restaurant "Leonard’s" has one Michelin star; chef Urs Gschwend delivers exquisite bistro-style cuisine blending Swiss generosity with international gastro-trends. A combination of gastro-pub and fine dining.
"Le Petit Chalet" serves classic local specialties such as raclette or fondue in a cozy chalet within the grounds of the Bellevue. And Le Grand Bellevue Bar is a convivial space that’s as quirky as it is cool. Relax on the longest leather Chesterfield sofa in Switzerland, and enjoy an expertly mixed cocktail fixed at the central zinc-topped bar.
LOCATION: Located in the center of Gstaad, at the end of the famed “Promenade”.
