Arosa
The Tschuggen Grand Hotel sits in a private forested enclave with stunning views. Guests are taken directly from the secluded location, to the Arosa skiing and hiking area, aboard the private “Tschuggen-Express” (funicular). The exceptional setting & 130 rooms and suites were realized by the Italian designer Carlo Rampazzi, while star architect Mario Botta created the hotel's 5,000m² “Bergoase” wellness complex, one of the best in Europe. Each of the bedrooms is finished with a distinctive color scheme; walls, carpets and doors all subtly co-ordinated, the bathrooms are built of local Grison granite. 98 guest rooms, 32 of which are suites.
SPA & WELLNESS: “Bergoase” Spa (5000m² +) designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta. Through filigree sails of glass and steel, the sky and light flood the four stories of this expansive wellness area. Indoor/outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, fitness and medical wellness areas. A full range of spa and beauty treatments are available.
FOOD & DRINK: "La Vetta": modern inspired cuisine with a focus on local produce. "La Collina": relaxed Mediterranean and market fresh produce. "Bündnerstube": regional and authentic Grisons food and drink. The bar serves high tea in the afternoon, and in the evening transforms into a swanky cocktail lounge with live music.
LOCATION: The Tschuggen is located just above the village of Arosa in a quiet forest. Arosa is a small village in a "secret valley" in the canton of Graubunden, perfect for families and those looking for a quiet and uncrowded destination. It possible to ski, hike or bike to the surrounding resorts of Lenzerheide and Davos.
