As the largest village in the Valley, Méribel truly deserves its reputation as the largest and most attractive resort in the French Alps. Méribel is made-up of beautiful private chalets and larger apartment chalets which are all constructed using light-coloured wood and local stone, and all with sloping roofs. The resort really does blend itself into its woodland surroundings with the appropriate and authentic style of architecture, creating a real chalet atmosphere. This endlessly charming resort also has all of the shops, services, activities and high-quality sporting facilities to make your stay a truly enjoyable experience.

From Méribel there is quick and easy access to the 150km of pistes in Méribel Valley and the 600km of pistes of the Three Valleys via the numerous modern ski lifts which depart from the resort. The resort is located on the east side of the mountain and so receives a good amount of sunshine throughout the day.

 

Comprising eight resorts (Courchevel, La Tania, Brides-les-Bains, Méribel, St Martin de Belleville, les Menuires, Val Thorens and Orelle), the 3 Vallées is the largest ski area in the world and a Mecca for skiers. Situated at the heart of the 3 Vallées, Méribel is perfectly located to make the most of this extraordinary ski area. Reach the summits in few minutes and discover the neighbour resorts! 85% of the 3 Vallées ski area is situated above 1800m of altitude and more than the half of the slopes are equipped with snow cannons: you can be certain that you will ski on fresh snow from December to April!

 

In summer, Méribel turns into a wonderful playground for mountain lovers. Hiking, biking, mountaineering etc., Meribel resort and the surrounding natural reserve as well as the Vanoise National Park close by are just the perfect destination for a summer at altitude.
